J.N AIER College, Dimapur observed it's 8th Fresher's Social on 24th of Aug' 2019 on the theme 'Incipit' with Dr. Riku Khutso, EAC Bhandari of Wokha district who was also the NPSC topper of 2016 as the guest motivator. The programme was chaired by Ms. Senjumbeni Jami, Assistant Professor of English Department. The guest motivator in his speech encouraged the students to always have a goal in life with a power plan.

JAL SHAKTI COMMITTEE OF J.N. AIER COLLEGE OBSERVED 'SWACHHTA PAKHWADA'.

The Jal Shakti Committee of J.N. AIER College Dimapur, under the directive of The Ministry of Human Resource Development observed "Swachhta Pakhwada" from 1st-15th of September'2019. A seminar was conducted on 14th of September'2019 on the theme 'Water Conservation and Rain Water Harvesting’ with Ma'am Akumienla, District Horticulture Inspector as the resource person. An awareness campaign on the hazardous use of plastic was also observed where the students along with the teachers distributed around 170 cloth bags at the 4th Mile Friday local bazar.

NSS UNIT OF J.N. AIER COLLEGE PERFORMED STREET PLAY

The NSS Unit of J.N. College Dimapur performed a street play on the theme, 'Nutritional issues-Axemia Malnutrition' on 20th of September'2019 on account of "POSHAN ABHIYAN" which is being observed from 1st-30th of September'2019. The street play performed by the students was to create awareness about the importance of nutrition in one's body and also the harmful effects of nutritional issues. The play was performed at the 4th Mile junction, opposite to Agri Expo.

J.N. AIER COLLEGE, DIMAPUR OBSERVED SWACHH BHARAT.

J.N.Aier College Dimapur, under the directive of the department of Higher Education observed Swachh Bharat on 2nd Oct'2019 in commemoration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The students along with the Assistant Professors conducted a mass social work in Diphupar local ground and also planted tree saplings. Similarly, the NSS Unit of J.N Aier College created an awareness programme on the hazardous use of plastic and also conducted a social work at Xelhozhe Village which is the adopted village of J.N Aier College, NSS Unit.

J.N. Aier College observes Cultural Day

J.N. Aier College, Dimapur observed 'Cultural Day' on 4th December, 2019 with the theme 'Back to the Roots'. Cultural dance were performed by all the 9 guardianships, where Selecus, G.S. Ghurye, August Comte bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Indigenous games like Cock Fight, Bamboo Climbing and Hopping (for girls) were also played by the students under different guardianships. Sir I. Limatemjen, Principal J.N. Aier College, spoke on the theme wherein he enlightened the students on the uniqueness of Naga culture and how Nagas because of modernization are losing its identity.

NORTH-EAST NSS YOUTH FESTIVAL HELD AT TEZPUR UNIVERSITY

The NSS unit of J.N Aier College and Tetso College Dimapur represented team 'Nagaland' at the North East NSS Youth Festival which was organized by the NSS Cell of Tezpur University in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of NSS, Guwahati from 16th to 20th of January' 2020. Cultural events were held every evening where the volunteers from all the North Eastern States participated showcasting their various diverse culture and dance. Sessions like 'Anti Drugs' was also delivered by Nilesh Mohite and also, motivational talk was given by Sunny Malone. Academic sessions on various trending topics were also taken up by different resource persons and also Quiz competition were also organized. Yoga and Self Defence classes were also given to the NSS volunteers. 32 Students along with 2 Programme Officers accompanied the students to the North East NSS Volunteers.

J.N AIER COLLEGE, DIMAPUR VISITS ZOOLOGICAL PARK

The 6th semester students of J.N Aier College Dimapur visited the Zoological Park as part of the study on 7th March’ 2020. A short seminar on an ‘Awareness Program on Conservation of Forests and Wildlife’ was delivered by Mr. Rao. The seminar was organized by Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar under National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS). The visit was initiated by the ECO Club of JNAC. Besides the visit, the students donated vegetables and conducted a mass social work and also placed bamboo dustbins in and around the park.
