RED RIBBON CLUB
Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the Government of India in Schools and Colleges through which students will spread awareness over HIV/AIDS. It envisages to instill charity mind among all the students to extend their able help towards developing healthy lifestyles, donating blood to all the needy by promotion of regular voluntary blood donation.
As the objectives to Red Ribbon Club is to reduce new occurrences of HIV infection among youth by raising their risk perception through awareness on HIV prevention methods, to induce the spirit among youth to help and support people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) thereby reducing stigma and discrimination against PLHWA, to motivate youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills on leadership, negotiation and team building and to promote voluntary blood donation among youth. Our College has also organized various programmes related to it like Blood Donation Day, Social Awareness Programmes, World Aids Day and also participated in the Slogan Competition which was held at Covenant Hall, Christian Hr. Sec School, Dimapur, Nagaland.

- Painting Competition on ‘World No Tobacco Day’ on 31st May’2019:
The Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with the IQAC observed ‘World No Tobacco Day’ with Sir.Luto Swuro, Asst.Prof of Pol.Sc department as the speaker. He emphasized on the dangerous constituents of Tobacco, the ill-effects of Tobacco consumption like Cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, kidney stones etc.
Painting competition was held among all the nine guardianships on the theme ‘Tobacco and Lung Health’ where Imtiangba of 5th sem was declared the winner. Kusum of 5th Sem bagged the second position and Takumpa and Yongshenti bagged the third position.
- International Youth Day on 16th August’2019:
NSACS in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club of Tetso College observed ‘Nation Youth Day’ on 16th Aug’2020 at Tetso College. Skit competition and extempore story recital competition was also held where Menuka and Asuholi Wotsa of 3rd Semester bagged the 1st and 2nd position respectively. J.N Aier College also secured the 2nd runners up in Skit Competition.
- Essay Competition on World Aids Day.(1st Dec’2019):
Essay Competition on ‘World Aids Day’ was conducted on 1st Dec’2019 on the theme “Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic: Community by Community” where Jubikali, Tinuwapang and Tovitoli bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
- Blood Donation Drive on 3rd March’2020:
The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of J.N Aier College, Dimapur in collaboration with the Blood Bank, District Hospital Dimapur organized a Blood Donation Camp on 4th of March’2020 at the college premises. A short program was held before the donation drive, where Sir. Limatemjen, Principal of JNAC welcomed the team that was led by senior specialist Blood Bank District Hospital Dimapur, Dr. Temsu. A brief talk on blood facts, eligible donors and post donation care was also given by Dr. Temsu. Altogether 57 participants, including the staffs and students donated the blood.
- J.N. Aier College observes ‘International Women’s Day’:
With the theme ‘I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights’, the Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with IQAC of J.N. Aier College observed International Women’s Day at the college premises on 6th of March, 2020. Ma’am Keleseno, Asst. Professor of Education Department speaking on the theme, educated the students on the basic eqaul rights women must practice in the society without any obligations. Ms. Khenili Kiho, the nodal Officer of JNAC spoke on the status of women and the violence against women in Nagaland wherein she highlighted on how the women were not given chance in decision making body and also talked of the violence against women for both married and unmarried. The male students and staff members also undertook a pledge vowing to respect and treat women in their equal status, and also to say ‘No’ to Violence against women therby showing their seriousness in the concerned matter.
ECO CLUB
Eco Club plays an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the students. The main aim of establishing the Eco Club in Colleges is to create an awareness of biodiversity conservation and local environment issues among students and to create a clean and green consciousness through various innovative methods. The following activities are organised by the Eco Club:
Plantation Drive (5th June, 2018)
The Eco Club students along with the help of Assistant Professors planted some saplings in the College premises. They also cleaned the surrounding areas by picking the waste material. The students were made aware about the importance of planting trees. They were sensitized about the important role of the environment and nature in our lives.
Anti-Plastic Campaign (19th September, 2019)
The Eco Club of J.N. Aier College organized Anti Plastic Campaign on 19th September , 2019 at 4th Mile Friday local Bazaar. The students created awareness about how this hazardous use of plastics is harming our environment and polluting our Mother Earth. Students also made banners and conducted a street play. They made healthy efforts to sensitize the society about ill effects of pollution caused due to burning of plastics. They distributed cloth bags and encouraged the people to use cloth bags instead of plastics.
NCC
NCC stands for the National Cadet Corps which is the Indian military Cadet corps. It helps the youth of India to develop and prepare themselves in all three forces that is the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air force. With its Motto – “UNITY AND DISCIPLINE” (EKTA AUR ANUSHASAN), NCC girl’s wings has been started in J.N. AIER COLLEGE in the month of March 2020, with its first batch of 18 students. NCC department is in full progress in its glory and students have shown enthusiastic interest and have actively participated in various activities. Following with the AIMS, the college strives to develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, and secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.
SOCIAL AND WELFARE COMMITTEE
J.N. Aier College, Diphupar recognizes its responsibilities to the community in which it is located and makes an important contribution to the social and cultural life of the town and region. The college holds about 200 students and staff Mrs. Susila Basnet and Miss. Kevileno from English and Sociology Department are the members of Social Welfare Committee. The Institute contributes to the development of the village and region through the number of partnerships and programs like NSS.
NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS) CELL
The National Service Scheme was affiliated on 9th Jan’ 2018 with Ms. Khenili Kiho, Asst.Prof of Sociology as the Programme Officer. The first Programme organized by the NSS Unit was ‘The 8th National Voters Day (NVD)’ which was observed on 25th Jan’2018. The NSS Unit also observed ‘World Environment Day’ on 5th June’2018 where the students also conducted mass social work after the Programme and also put up flex banners in and around the Diphupar jurisdiction. Chemdila and Moingan, members of the NSS Unit also participated at the ‘District Youth Parliament’ on 5th Sept’2018 at Dimapur Govt. College which was organized by the United Nations Volunteers in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Dimapur. Programmes like ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’, ‘Swachh Bharat’ were also observed by the NSS Unit, and also conducted various Scoial Work. Puoteivinuo and Tinuwapang, members of the NSS Unit also attended ‘Capacity Building Programme on Youth Employability Skills through Life Skills’ organized by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development Regional Centre, Chandigarh and NSS on 8th-10th of October’2018 at the Youth Hostel, Dimapur Nagaland. Anato, Imtiakum, Tovitoli and Tsulila also represented our State Nagaland along with four students from Tetso College, Dimapur at the National Integration Camp which was held from 8th-14th of March’2019 organized by the NSS, Guwahati Regional Directorate in Collaboration with Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati.

- NSS volunteers of J.N. Aier in collaboration with the volunteers of C-Edge College also organized a plantation drive on 24th September’2019 in and around the United Village to mark the 50th Anniversary of Nation Service Scheme (NSS)
- Observed the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 3rd October’2019 by conducting a social work at the adopted village and also planted Tree saplings in and around the Diphupar local ground.
Declamation contest on ‘Patriotism and Nation Building’ as a part of Republic Day Celebration 2020 on 5th October’2019.
Observed ‘Fit India’ on 18th January’ 2020.
Participated at the North East NSS Youth Festival at Tezpur University on 16th-20th of January’ 2020.
The NSS Unt of J.N Aier College has a total number of 100 students with One Programme Officer and Co-ordinator.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE
Discipline is a part and parcel of one’s life and it’s necessary for every institution for its smooth and proper functioning. A disciplined life leads to a successful life. We, the committee members of JNAC work together for the benefits of the students as well as for the institution in general.
The Discipline Committee of JNAC shoulders the responsibility to make sure that the Students are abiding by the rules and regulations laid down by the college. They also go for surprise checking for uniform defaulters, students coming late for class, and also for the possession of tobacco or any unwanted substances by the students etc. Disciplinary action is taken to the extent of expulsion with authority consent if a student is found misbehaving or with possession of tobacco or unwanted substances. A bond of agreement is also signed by the concerned students if they are caught red handed possessing or consuming tobacco and necessary action is also taken.
Looking forward for your support and cooperation to make J.N. Aier College a free tobacco zone and also to instill in one’s life the virtue of discipline.
